The Trade Desk - San Francisco
Previously working from a smaller space, The Trade Desk San Francisco was rapidly expanding and required a larger space in a predominate area. Because Tangram has held a long-lasting and trusting relationship with The Trade Desk, successfully completing several of their offices across the nation, they were engaged by the company alongside architecture and design firm HOK to provide furniture for their new 22k sq ft office, located in the heart of the Financial District, that would serve upwards of 100 employees.
The primary desire for the space was that it needs to be inspiring and capture the local vibe of the city and the employees. With the theme top-of-mind, Tangram provided a wide range of residential-inspired pieces that boast rich colors and textures, ultimately capturing the comfort of home alongside the sophistication of the city.
Wellness Room - The room’s purpose was to offer a rejuvenating, relaxing, and decompressing space with private time away from the work environment. Bolia Gaia sofa paired with the Philippa lounge chair in calming neutrals were chosen. The Bolia Posea coffee table, Blu Dot Coco side table and contemporary Blu Dot Bobber floor lamp with warm lighting completed the remaining space of the Wellness area.
Main Open Office - Tangram brought a residential feel into the work environment with the Steelcase x West Elm Belle Tufted Sectional in a rich blue while still offering contract-grade durability an office requires. Tables are Community Coalesse Potrero tables blended with the Social Hub Cafe where eating, collaborating, working, taking a break and relationship building can all take place. Stools in Coalesse Enea Scope with wood legs and a poly seat for versatile seating were paired. An OFS Shuffleboard was placed alongside sprawling open windows to encourage employees to have fun and decompress for a moment.
Banquettes - This open space encourages various social aspects and can be used as an independent work space, collaboration space or casual meeting space. Erg The Raven booths complemented the warm, calming colors with a note of cool neutral wood tones.
Multi-Purpose Room - The room can convert to two smaller rooms or one large room for various meeting needs with ultimate flexibility as the priority. West Elm Slope swivel conference chairs for easy conversion and Nienkamper Metronome tables can be coupled together to make one large meeting table or pulled apart to satisfy any size meeting.
Lobby - Bolia Carmen and Cloud lounge chairs in warm green and blue tones and the JH97 green lounge chair match the casual seating goals upon first arrival. Black metal and white terrazzo coffee tables were incorporated to complement the Industry West Cane Sideboard console table and create a warm, inviting and relaxing environment for all visitors.
Tangram facilitated The Trade Desk to open up their office space and provide more solutions for their growing company. Tangram worked in tandem with the design firm HOK to offer The Trade Desk maximized work flexibility, a variety of meeting spaces and multiple lounge areas.
The brand’s culture and company were at the forefront of each curated furniture solution, paying homage to the local culture and particular location as well. The Trade Desk was involved in every step of the way, integrating the company’s needs in each element selected. The ultimate goal was to offer spaces that brought people together - whether it be for a formal meeting, impromptu collaboration session or to build rapport amongst employees.
