The Women's Care Center at Medical City Plano houses a 603-bed acute care facility and more than 1,800 physicians from over 70 specialties and subspecialties. When they planned to renovate it, Tangram partnered with design firms Imagine Unlimited and Cohesive Design Group to create a comforting atmosphere for patients, staff, and families. Their objective was to reimagine the traditional healthcare setting, turning sterile patient rooms into calming spaces that support comfort and healing. Ultimately, the goal was to make new mothers and dads comfortable. The project was designed with aesthetics in mind, along with maintaining the integrity of hospital cleanliness and durability standards. The challenge was to blend the coziness of a household with clinical functionality, keeping in line with the client's preference for a gentle, neutral color scheme with a hint of femininity.

The renovated space featured expertly blended products selected from well-known healthcare manufacturers like OFS, Carolina, IOA, and Takeform. All of these were chosen with careful consideration, achieving a perfect balance between a warm and welcoming feel and healthcare standards.
