Tangram 10

Tangram Ten // Savannah Knox

Please join us in welcoming Savannah Knox to Tangram! Savannah is joining the team as a Human Resources Administrator, previously working for a startup as an Account Manager. She hails from sunny San Diego and played golf in college at Long Beach State, eventually going on to get her MBA. In her free time, find Savannah keeping close track of the Chargers or Padres game and hanging with her hyperactive dog. We are thrilled for her to learn and grow in her role as she brings a positive and culture-minded energy. Welcome, Savannah, we’re happy to have you!

1. Name, title?

Savannah Knox, Human Resources Administrator

2. Where is your hometown?

San Diego, CA

3. What type of company did you work at previously and what was your role there?

I worked as an Account Manager at a start-up company that matched client companies with university programs and courses around experiential learning projects for students.

4. What is a fun fact about yourself?

I’m a big fan of sports, especially football and baseball! If anyone is curious, my teams are the San Diego (oops– Los Angeles) Chargers and the Padres. Also, I’ve played golf for over 15 years and played competitively throughout college on the NCAA team at Long Beach State.

5. If you were trapped on an island which three things would you want to have with you and why?

Water to stay hydrated, a fishing pole to catch meals, and my dog primarily for entertainment and to keep me company. I’d like to hope that my dog would also protect me and help with catching meals, but anyone that knows her knows that she’d get distracted and choose to sprint around the island instead.

6. What is the craziest thing you’ve ever eaten?

I don’t think I’ve eaten anything exceptionally crazy. I do love sushi, though, and octopus nigiri is one of my favorites—does that count?

7. What are you most looking forward to in your new role at Tangram?

I’m looking forward to expanding my professional experience in Human Resources, which is something I developed a strong passion for while pursing my MBA. Aside from my role specifically, I’m looking forward to meeting everyone!

8. What is your go-to Karaoke song and why?

I’d have to say Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver. Anyone who’s ever belted out the “West Virginiaaaa” part knows exactly why, and if you haven’t– give it a shot and get back to me!

9. You’re throwing a party, what would be the theme and who would be the guest of honor?

90’s Throwback with Tiger Woods as the guest of honor. It doesn’t get much more iconic 90’s than Tiger finding his stride (personal scandal aside, of course).

10. What do you hope to bring to the Tangram team?

I hope to bring positive energy to contribute to the culture that drew me to Tangram in the first place, as well as my personal focus on continual improvement and growth.
