Tangram Interiors Appoints Nick Meter as President

Tangram Interiors, one of the leading commercial interior solutions providers in the United States, proudly announces the appointment of Nick Meter as its new President.

With a career spanning nearly two decades at Tangram, Meter steps into the role as the second President in the company's history, bringing an extensive background in sales, operational leadership, and people management to lead the company’s next chapter.

Meter’s journey with Tangram began in 2006, following early exposure to the industry through his family. His father, Jerry, was a 35-year employee at Steelcase.  Meter’s first working experience in the business occurred at Castell, a dealership owned by his uncle, Bill Compton and business partner Bruce Bullard. He quickly developed a foundational knowledge of operations and sales before joining Tangram, where he steadily advanced from sales to executive leadership under the mentorship of 40-year industry veteran and current CEO, Joe Lozowski.

In 2012, he was awarded Tangram’s top honors for individual sales performance.  After leading a sales team from 2012 - 2019, he was promoted to Vice President of Sales, leading revenue generation efforts across the company. Meter joined the executive team in 2023 and was involved in general management, strategic planning, and policy development. His efforts led to process improvement, efficiency, and increased profitability. He now rises to President, bringing a unique perspective rooted in hands-on experience and customer-focused innovation.

Strategic Vision for Tangram’s Future

Meter’s approach will be built on three key pillars: Sustaining, Building/Optimizing, and Imagining. He aims to honor the legacy of Tangram’s prior leadership, ensuring a strong foundation that will support transformative growth.

Under his leadership, Tangram will focus on optimizing each of the brand’s business units, including Tangram Technology + AV, Studio Other, and Falkbuilt, while pursuing an aggressive growth strategy across the vertical markets in which Tangram has traditionally experienced success.

Tangram has established itself as a leader in integrated interior solutions, creating inspiring environments for corporate, education, healthcare, and residential spaces. As the industry faces significant shifts in work environments and methods, Meter is committed to ensuring Tangram remains agile and adaptive. Over the next two years, he envisions purposeful organizational restructuring, strategic hiring, and the implementation of innovative work methods that will position Tangram at the forefront of industry change.

“It is rare to see someone start a job right out of college and rise to the role of President 19 years later. It speaks to Nick’s dedication, unwavering commitment, and vision for the future,” said Tangram CEO Joe Lozowski. “I’m confident he will steer Tangram toward a future of growth and innovation, all while honoring the legacy of our past.”

In collaboration with Lozowski, who will remain involved in supporting key aspects of Tangram’s day-to-day operation, Meter will focus on addressing industry challenges, enhancing creative talent acquisition, and adapting to new workplace demands.

Meter has been a resident of Southern California for nearly 20 years, and has resided in Palos Verdes Estates with his family for the past decade.
