AV Integration for the Office

Many businesses are implementing AV Integration within the workplace for more effective presentations and communications. For one thing, research now reveals that people have different learning styles which need to be considered to gain maximum benefit when delivering information.
People who are categorized as such learn best by having visual material to look at. The use of charts, diagrams, graphs, video clips, computer presentations, and words help solidify the concepts delivered.
These type of people learn best by hearing the information presented. They tend to have an unusual ability to recall conversations and things they’ve heard spoken aloud. When trying to memorize or remember something, they say it aloud as opposed to the visual learner who memorizes what it looks like.
Kinesthetic learners
Kinesthetic learners are best described as “hands on”. They learn through one or more of the five senses – touching, feeling, experimenting with objects to see how they work. We all probably know of someone who dives right into projects without the directions.
Audio-visual technology is appealing to the first two learning styles without a question, and if you add interactive features to the AV presentation, you will engage the kinesthetic learner, as well. It’s worth noting that people aren’t exclusive with just one learning style, but have a blending of all three, being more dominant in one or the other.
The challenge for office staff when working with audio-visual presentations is to design a setting or room that is seamlessly integrated. Why is there a challenge in integration? The various technologies used in video conferencing, presentations, lighting, and so on are all produced by different companies; so, the goal is getting them to all connect together in a way that is unobtrusive. By weaving together the technology side of audio visual with the aesthetic side of the presentation you create an opportunity to “wow” your employees and clients. We at Tangram Interiors have assisted countless corporations and businesses succeed at assimilating office technology with modern décor.
