Stonebriar Commercial Finance’s custom office draws inspiration from the world of transportation. The space pays an elegant homage to the financial firm’s primary focus—the transportation industry—with themes of streamlined motion, clean lines dramatized by black accents, and materiality that echoes major modes of transport. A statement office and dynamic home for work, the amenity-rich space is designed to bring people together and adapt to daily needs in an environment that nurtures well-being.

Tangram was engaged by Perkins&Will to provide furniture and technology for the reception, lounge, open office, private offices, speakeasy, outdoor area, café, and conference room. Playing into the overall design theme of a modern feel with added warmth, Tangram curated a collection of furniture from manufacturers like Steelcase, Davis, West Elm, ERG, Extremis, Blu Dot, and Cassina. Private offices all have Steelcase Mackinac systems, and executive offices have HALCON, both establishing an elegant and high-end feel.

The design’s theme of angularity and forward motion is intensified with the bold yet sophisticated palette. The versatility of black throughout is key. Sharp, clean black metal and glass are softened by natural materials like wood veneer and stone for a modern and inviting atmosphere.
