Tangram provided furniture and installation for the 265,000 square foot RBC Project Gateway bank space located at 250 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, Minn. Perkins+Will provided architecture for the project.

RBC is recognized as one of Canada’s largest banks and one of the largest banks in the world. RBC has nearly 89,000 full and part time employees, serving over 17 million clients in Canada, the United States and 27 other countries.

The new installation for RBC began in 2020, successfully completing 11 floors in the new RBC Gateway Tower in downtown Minneapolis by summer 2022. Tangram fitted RBC with a light and bright environment equipped with colleague spaces and a variety of amenity spaces. Work cafes, team hubs, social exchanges, auditoriums, training rooms and a beautiful outdoor terrace for events provide for an inspired work arena.

Tangram collaborated with both RBC and Perkins+Will for furniture scope on all 11 floors and used design tools to outfit the space with budget and overall employee experience in mind. Contemporary furniture and office elements selected from the likes of Steelcase, Viccarbe, Blu Dot, Coalesse and West Elm were used.
