The curated collection brings a refreshed tone to the workstations with tufted detailing, a neutral pallet and various textures coming together to achieve an elevated residential feel.

In August 2017, Tangram Studio partnered with Los Angeles architecture firm, Gensler, to create a custom workspace for a brand management company. Because this was a new office, the company required a full set of workstations, furniture for conference rooms and ancillary pieces for private offices and common spaces that would best serve the needs of 13 users.

Working in collaboration with Gensler and the company itself, Tangram Studio created comprehensive concepts for 8 workstations, 5 private office stations, 1 conference table and a complete ancillary furniture curation that together would achieve a sleek, chic and modern office.

The workstations were composed of powder coated steel and solid oak surfaces to achieve a seamless pairing of industrial and rustic. The system was designed to meet the needs of the users with height-adjustable surfaces, metal-framed glass dividers and mobile storage crafted with hot rolled steel, wood door, leather pull and sliding cushion top. These units were then paired with white oak bookcase shelving and Fieldhouse powder coated steel, bringing a residential feel to each configuration.

Like the workstations, private office desks were also crafted with hot rolled steel and solid oak, and paired with wood, leather and steel bookcases and shelving that matched the mobile storage unit at each workstation. Studio then created a beautiful boardroom table made with Harringbone planks on the surface placed to create a multi-tonal wood pattern, and a 3-legged hot rolled steel base. The unit was equipped with edge and surface power units.

The ancillary furniture located in private offices and public lounge spaces included modular lounges, recliners, coffee tables, lighting and shelving. The curated collection brought a refreshed tone to the workstations with tufted detailing, a neutral pallet and various textures coming together to achieve an elevated residential feel.
