Meet Emily Lang
Please join us in welcoming Emily Lang to Tangram! Emily is joining the Newport Beach team as a Project Coordinator, previously working as a Design Consultant at an interior design company. On the weekends, you'll find this Orange County native at the beach, on a hike with her labradoodle or exploring the antique shops at Orange Circle. We are thrilled to have Emily's creative and positive personality on the team. Welcome, Emily, we're happy to have you!
1. Name, title?
My name is Emily and I’m a Project Coordinator.
2. Where is your hometown and where do you live now?
I was born and raised in Orange County and I’m still here!
3. What type of company did you work at previously and what was your role there?
I worked as a Design Consultant at an Interior Design company.
4. What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
I love to be outside in the sun, so you could probably find me at the beach or taking my labradoodle on a hike. I also greatly value my time with my family and friends, so I try to squeeze in as much time with them as possible.
5. When people visit your town, what are the top local spot(s) you recommend to them?
The Orange Circle is probably a place I recommend quite often, as is has a ton of great restaurants, amazing antique shops, and a wonderful atmosphere.
6. What’s a topic you wish you knew more about or a skill you want to learn/improve?
Although I’m not sure if I ever will, I would love to learn how to play the piano.
7. Which 3 words would your family/friends use to describe you?
Determined, loyal, and honest.
8. What’s your favorite movie, book, or musical artist/band?
My favorite movie is probably either Serendipity or About Time. (I’m a sucker for a good rom-com)
9. Tell us about the best or most memorable meal you’ve cooked or eaten! What made it special?
Every year for Christmas Eve all the women on my dad’s side of the family will get together to make flan. This is a complicated desert and it’s very hard to get just right, so you have to be delicate and patient with it. We all cram in my Grandma’s tiny kitchen, everyone has a their own specific job to do, and we eat, drink, talk, and make flan. Some of my best memories are in that tiny kitchen!
10. What are you most looking forward to at Tangram and what do you hope to bring to the team?
First and foremost, I’m excited to be apart of this amazing team! Secondly, I look forward to learning new skillsets while also fine-tuning the ones I already have - I’m
ready to learn! I hope to be an asset to the Tangram team by bringing creativity and positivity into every aspect of my work.
