Move Management Services

Moving from one location to another can be very stressful with the interruption of work that packing and moving entails. However, with a Tangram project manager onsite to oversee the planning and implementation of your move, you can rest assured that your move will be easier than ever before. Whether it’s a move to another portion of your facility or a large-scale relocation, Tangram provides experienced and comprehensive Move Management Services.

Each job begins with an experienced Project Move Manager assigned to oversee and plan each portion of the move. Your Move Manager will develop a comprehensive plan that takes into account scheduling, budgeting, floor plans, site preparation, and any final construction or design work taking place at your new location. Your Project Manager is your one point of contact, coordinating not only with each member of the Move Team, but with your employees as the move takes place.

To prepare for the day of the move, our Move Team begins the seamless task of carefully boxing, labeling and identifying items to move in sequential order for each employee, so they minimally impact productivity. Workstations and furniture are broken-down and boxed, ready to be reassembled in their new location.

Due to our precise advanced planning process, Tangram clients rarely experience ‘surprises’ on the day of their move. If, however, any unforeseen change does occur, our Project Move Manager has years of moving experience and can guide the process along and resolve any last-minute issue as it arises.

 

Once onsite at the new location, your Project Manager will oversee the unpacking, assembly of workstations and furniture with a post-move assessment to review any outstanding tasks or items that need to be addressed.

Delivery + Installation Management

As one of the largest Steelcase dealerships west of the Mississippi, Tangram has a reputation for outstanding service with the highest level of expertise when it comes to handling all sized projects. From delivering and installing the occasional, singular workstation to a large-scale corporate facility where we might deliver and install 25 or more workstations on each floor, our fully-certified installation crews are ready to meet the challenge.

Our teams are known for turning what may seem like extremely complex projects with lots of moving parts into smoothly-running, seamless operations. This is due, in part, to our versatility in meeting and working with our clients’ leasing, construction or delivery timeframes. At the start of each project, when we create our initial project overview, to the actual date of delivery and installation, our goal is to minimize any disruption to our clients’ work schedules. To maximize the efficiency of all the specialty crews involved, our delivery and installation teams dovetail with electricians and onsite data specialists creating a team effort that is fully-orchestrated to get all systems in place to work properly.

From our long history of delivery in some of the highest-traffic areas in Los Angeles, our installers are experts in moving furniture and workstations in and out of freight elevators and well-versed in their restrictions. Our Project Managers oversee all the components involved in the delivery, not only involving our crews, but in the set up and scheduling of any other manufacturer involved. This seamless project management ensures the proper sequence of order by coordinating all the vendors in an orderly fashion throughout the entire process. The ability to coordinate all these different elements and to create order in the midst of chaos is our heritage and our calling.

In addition to our spacious warehouse located alongside our modern and high-tech corporate headquarters in Santa Fe Springs, Tangram operates warehouse facilities in the cities of Bakersfield and Fresno – our newest Tangram showroom. Additionally, our showrooms in Newport Beach, Riverside and Woodland Hills have any inventory that is needed and in short order, can best accommodate our clients’ specifications. With GPS devices installed in all of our trucks, we can immediately track the whereabouts of each clients’ inventory as it moves down the freeways and roads in our trucks and keep our clients informed when a shipment is delayed by traffic while on its way.
