“Company culture” has become a buzzword in the working world. Companies in Silicon Valley loves to strut their comfortable offices and happy work environments. On the other hand, insulting an office’s culture is a major blow. But why is company culture so important to the business and revenue?

Attracting the right talent 

You want the best people, the right people, to work for you company. To attract those people, you have to create a welcoming, supportive environment. The work culture aspect has become more important than ever in attracting new talent for two reasons:

  • It’s a job seekers market for the first time in a decade. That means your office has to be more appealing than your competitor’s office. Unlike previous generations, Millennials are willing to take a pay cut for a more positive work culture and/or better benefits.
  • Company culture has never been so transparent thanks to websites such as Indeed and Glassdoor. Jobseekers have an unprecedented ability to get a sense of what it’s like to work for any company. You want to be creating a culture that employees will rave about on these websites.

Set yourself up as a sustainable company
