  1. Carpet receives more use than anything else in the workplace, so must stand the test of time – Everyone in your office walks on the same carpet all day long. Carpet in high-traffic areas, such as reception or conference room spaces, receives even more traffic over time. If you choose an inexpensive or less durable carpet, you’ll need to replace it faster than you otherwise would.
  2. Color choice matters – A good carpet choice should complement your office decor. However, light colors will show dirt more than dark ones. As a general rule, steer clear of white, cream, or grey carpet. Choose carpet that is rust, brown, green or even beige to keep your carpet looking good in between cleanings.
  3. No matter what you choose, you must plan for maintenance – With any type of commercial carpet, maintenance is a must. It’s important to make sure that you understand the maintenance needs of your carpet, so that cleaning staff can properly care for the office carpet. Failure to do so can result in damage to the carpet that ultimately compromises its longevity.
